I began to lose hope. Just as I was about to give up I gave one last struggle. I squirmed harder than I have ever squirmed before and just as I ran out of air and muscle I found an old catfish hole in the muddy grave I was in. I moved myself in to the hole, then down, around, and up through the mud, and out of the water. I guess I was to small and insignificant for the giant to feel my escape under his huge wooden feet, and he was laughing so hard at Flourinas meager attempts to get him to lift his foot he did not hear me get up gasping for air. Flourina was running out of bullets, I don't understand why she wasted so many when it was obviously not working, but when she realized I had escaped she through me my axe and the playing field became a little more level.
While the ent followed the axe with his eyes still laughing I jumped to grab the axe and his laughs turned to surprise and hate. I swung the axe while still in the air, not expecting to do much damage because while your not grounded it's hard to get much leverage. I did stick the axe into his body enough to swing around and on top of his head. It was hard to stay there while he thrashed and swung his branches at me. I managed to get a few good slices into his face causing a sticky sweet sap to run from his scars as though they were spouts. He did get a swing off that hit me. It was like being hit by a small car. The huge club at the end of his branch sent me flying back into the water. When he went to grab me I managed to gather enough strength to swing my axe cutting off the vines he used to grab. This was to little avail since he could just grow more at will. It did back him up for a second.
I learched forward swinging as hard as I could at his leg cutting deep into it. The giant fell to one knee to get pressure off his wound I then jumped onto the ents back an hued the creature deep into its back time and time again untill it lay lifeless in the swamp.
I built a ladder out of the ents body to get over the wall, and we continued on our journey ready for the next challenge.
